Scavenge the Ruins
When supplies run dangerously low, staying in the bunker is no longer an option. Send family members into the devastated world above to scavenge for food, medicine, and tools — but every expedition is a gamble with their lives.
Explore 15 unique locations, each with its own stories, side quests, and tragic decisions. A ransacked hospital hides a locked pharmacy — but someone else got there first. An abandoned school still has canned food in the cafeteria — but the noises coming from the basement suggest you're not alone.
Each location is a self-contained narrative experience. You'll uncover the stories of those who didn't make it, find clues about the true nature of the catastrophe, and face decisions that will haunt you long after you return to the bunker — if you return at all.
MUM, DID WE EAT OUR DOG?
Still Breathing doesn't give you good options. It gives you impossible ones.
A stranger begs you for water. Your daughter is watching. If you share, your family might not make it through the week. If you refuse, your daughter will never look at you the same way again. A wounded man collapses at your door — do you use your last antibiotics on him, or save them for your sick grandmother? There are no right answers, only consequences.
Every choice ripples through the family. Morale drops, relationships fracture, trust erodes. Your children will remember what you did. Your partner will question your judgment. And you'll have to live with it — all 30 days of it.
Fight or Show Mercy
The world above is not empty. Make too much noise while scavenging and you'll attract attention — from desperate survivors, from looters, from things that are harder to explain. Combat is brutal, fast, and terrifying.
But the hardest part comes after the fight. When your attacker lies at your feet, beaten and broken, you decide: do they live, or do they die?
Mercy has a cost. Let them go and they might come back with friends. But kill them, and your family will know. Your children will hear about it. The weight of taking a life doesn't just disappear — it follows you home, it sits at the dinner table, it poisons the air in the bunker. Family morale, relationships, and even future story paths shift based on the kind of person you choose to become.
Multiple Endings
Not everyone makes it to day 30. And even if they do, survival isn't the only measure of success.
Still Breathing features a multitude of different endings shaped by the decisions you've made, the relationships you've built or destroyed, and the moral lines you've crossed. Did you keep your humanity intact, or did you sacrifice it to keep your family alive? Did your family emerge stronger — or as strangers who can barely look at each other?
Some endings are hopeful. Some are devastating. All of them are earned.
