The wall is still under development...
It's not a secret, we are Father and son and being able to build this project together is a dream come true. My name is Victor Vergara (45), and my son Alex(14) and I are Dad&Son Games since 2022. Welcome to our studio page.
A bit of history of our lives.
I have been passionate about video games, computer animation, and audiovisual creation since I was a child. Although I have a university education, my primary source of knowledge has been being a compulsive autodidact, especially in the field of technology. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by computers, technological advancements, and discovering the most innovative tools for creation.
Demoreel with some highlighted projects I worked on during 1999-2005 in 2D, 3D animation and web design.
In my early professional years, I worked as a graphic and multimedia designer, while in my free time, I composed music (my greatest passion) and created video games with Exelweiss, a company I helped to found. Later, I established LemonQuest, an international studio dedicated to mobile game development, where I led the art department and eventually became a project director. At LemonQuest, we developed dozens of games during the era of JAVA-based gaming.
Years later, I released several mobile games with a friend under the Pixelmind Games label. Throughout those years, I always balanced my passion for creating video games with various startups, including distribution companies in the USA, e-learning enterprises, intelligent vending businesses, and, more recently, a successful career on YouTube (not in my personal channel).
A video project to homage retro-computers. MSX was my childhood computer. Song composed by me and enhanced by AI.
Now, after hitting my 40s and with my son becoming an indispensable teammate in my life, I’ve decided to bring to life a project that has been in my mind since I was 16 years old.
If there’s one thing that has guided my life, it’s the drive to CREATE. Create music. Create experiences. Create emotions. Create something that others can consume and enjoy. This project brings together everything I know how to do into a single product that I hope will terrify, move, and leave a lasting impact.
My best music saga as a composer is Ancient Stories, which are always folk, medieval or classical. This is my latest entry in the saga.
I don’t have a long professional story to share, as I’m only 14 years old and about to turn 15 as I write this, but I’ll do my best to summarize who I am and what I do.
I’m a regular teenager, though perhaps my father’s influence has given me a deeper appreciation for movies, video games, comics, and music than most people my age. He’s incredibly passionate about the things he loves, and he enjoys passing that passion on to others. With me, he’s definitely succeeded.
Video games have been one of my greatest passions since I was little. I’ve spent countless hours playing Minecraft, Fortnite, and Roblox with my friends, like many kids my age. But I’ve also explored countless gems, such as the *Resident Evil* series (my favorite is *RE8 VR*), *Alan Wake 2*, *Inside*, *The Last of Us 1 & 2*, *Papers Please*, *The Stanley Parable*, *What Remains of Edith Finch*, *Portal*, *Silent Hill 2*, *Dead Space*, *Lies of P*, and many others. I’m also a big fan of 16-bit era classics like *Super Mario World* and modern retro-style games like *Super Meat Boy* and *Celeste.*

Some of the best gaming experiences I’ve had have been playing local multiplayer games with my dad. Together, we’ve completed *The Forest*, *Sky*, *A Way Out*, *Mario Wonder*, *Enter the Gungeon* (yes, we finished it 100%), *Human Fall Flat*, *Wizard of Legends*, *Unravel Two*, and *Rayman Legends.* So, when my dad encouraged me to start programming to make my own games, I was thrilled.
Our first game was *Wi-Fi Attack* for the 2022 Gamejolt competition. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much experience at the time, and we ended up making a spaceship shooter that didn’t quite fit the Jam’s theme, so we didn’t place in the top 100. But many people wrote to us saying it was unfair because the game was great, which motivated us to aim for something bigger.

At school, I’ve won several writing awards, and some of my stories were recently published in a compilation book. This gave me the confidence to tackle writing the detailed sequences required for the game we’re creating.
Currently, I’m balancing my studies with game development while trying to save money by buying and selling second-hand items.
After finishing *The Wall*, depending on its success, I’d love to keep developing games, as it’s one of the things I enjoy most in life.
As a team, The Wall is our first commercial project. We released our first game, Wi-fi Attack, as an entry for a Gamejolt Game Jam.
My son also made a small game for the Euskal Party 24 Videogame compo.
The Wall has been a lifetime project for me. You can learn more about the Story behind the development of this game here.
As Dad&Son this is our first game, but I've been involved in the videogaming industry for decades, and co-created many games in different teams.
